Tool-box and Policy Recommendations
The document, which contains the Toolbox and the Political Recommendations, is one of the main outputs with which the work path undertaken by Arrival regions ends.
The purpose of it is precisely to give continuity to the actions undertaken and the knowledge developed.
A Partner meeting took place on 15 & 16 February 2022 in Torino, Italy, where partners discussed about the project’s draft tool-box and policy recommendations.
Coordinated by the LP, the project’s tool-box was co-elaborated and prepared for publication. At the same time the IfL has coordinated the consoritum with the elaboration the related policy recommendations.
This document presents nine applied tools that can help stakeholders in rural regions to support the social and economic integration of migrants on one hand and create local welcoming cultures on the other:
- language learning
- legal counselling
- contact points
- plan and organize arrival
- encouraging intern-generational learning
- navigating bureaucracy
- involvment of locals
- supporting personal development
- empowering locals.
The tools listed are based on the findings of the project's pilot actions set in Italy, Germany, Croatia, Slovenia, Poland and Czech Republic promoting long-term integration of non-EU nationals as response to ongoing demographic and economic changes.
