FramWat National Consultations in Slovakia
FramWat National Dialogue in Slovakia took place on 10th of May in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, organized by GWPCEE and Slovak Water Enterprise. It brought together more than 20 participants from public administration, ministries, research, academia, research and business. Ministry of Environment, one of the Associated Partners, participated as well.Complex solutions, cross-sectoral cooperation, the synergy of the measures, and their combinations considering local conditions are key to the success of natural small water retention measures. The participants agreed that water holding capacity of the land must be improved whenever possible for flood protection, drought mitigation and more robust ecosystem services.
