Interreg CE Communication seminar
YOUMOBIL partners attended the Communication seminar organized by Interreg Central Europe from 9th to 10th September 2019 in Budapest to improve their skills and exchange experiences.
As partners in YOUMOBIL project, we participated in the Interreg Central Europe Communication seminar in Budapest, organized for 2nd and 3rd Call projects, held from 9th to 10th of September 2019.
The goal of the seminar and its workshops was to offer a mix of theory and practice for efficient communication, to exchange the ideas and experiences between partners and to learn how to improve project results communication and projects in general towards targeted audiences.
First day started with the presentation about communication strategy and branding possibilities, based on multiple examples from practice. After the initial introduction, we, about 90 people, drafted and suggested creative ideas for web page content and social media posts. We found out, better to say – were reminded, which are the key elements of communication and how to adapt the message, channel and technique to be more attractive and reach target audience. During workshops, presentations were shaped like discussion sessions and cooperation exercises in small groups helped in better communication planning and applying the right technique.
The workshops were held in 3 groups, projects divided thematically (Innovation, Low carbon, Environment and Culture, Transport). Our hosts presented guidelines for successful storytelling to make the project content more understandable to all, not just experts working in the given field. Also, we were given positive guidelines for social media and presented with the common mistakes and how they can be avoided. Basic rules on how to be in line with the Interreg CE and European rules are well known, but there’s no shame in repeating them by using simple examples, as well.
At the end of the seminar, which exceeded our expectations, colleagues from the Joint Secretariat were answering partners questions and discussing some actual situations we all come across.
