REFREsh International Photo Exhibition opened at the Lake Guard House in Lokve
The International Photo Exhibition is created within the project REFREsh - Rural Revitalization for Cultural Heritage funded by the INTERREG Central Europe 2014-2020 program was officially opened on 19th of June 2020, at the Lake Guard House in Lokve. With a total of 30 photographs, this exhibition presents the industrial and working history of all participating countries - Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, and Croatia.
The Municipality of Lokve, as one of the partners, organized a photo competition called “Old Crafts, Art Working, Abandoned Industrial Sights and Labor Tradition of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County”. In total, 33 authors with 153 photographs applied for the competition. A committee consisting of Jasna Šikanja, prof. MA, Tihana Karlović, MA, and Borislav Božić, prof. selected six photographs, from six different authors.
All winners were presented with certificates of appreciation for participating, while the first three selected photos were awarded separately. The winners were: Neda Rački with a photo of Hartera 1, Vanja Pastuhović with a photo of Rječina, Old Mill, and Tina Kovač with a photo of Disorder, Hartera. Three equally valuable mentions went to Dario Dorčić for the photo Shipbuilder, Rab, Goran Grudić for the photo Patiently, Administrative building of the ex-sugar factory, Rijeka and Marko Buntić for photography Rijeka, Rijeka’s Torpedo.
The exhibition is open until August 1, 2020, and it is possible to see it from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 12:00 and 16:00 to 18:00, with mandatory prior notice on +385996523716 (Klaudia Boban).
This international exhibition is one of three Pilot actions to be carried out within the REFREsh project. Workshops on creating a new tourist product through the cooperation of creative scene with trade and services are ongoing, and during July and August, art workshops will be held with young, students and residents at the Lake Guard House, making it a new meeting place in Lokve.
