Integrated Built Heritage Revitalisation Plan for Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki
With the combined effort of local experts, RESTAURA Local Stakeholders Group and representatives of city of Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki, Integrated Built Heritage Revitalisation Plan (IBHRP) for the Salt Square and waterfront areas has been finally finished and released.
The IBHRP consists of two main parts: the first one is the analysis of the major problems and the unexploited potential of the pilot area in the formal and legal context. The methods used in the analysis were as follows: desk research, RESTAURA Local Stakeholders Groups meetings and surveys among the inhabitants of the pilot area. This part also presents the results of SWOT analysis undertaken in the pilot area, as well as the description of good practices of the Public-Private Partnership.
The second part of the document shows the possible ways of applying the results obtained through the conducted analysis. In respect to that, it was possible to create a vision, set goals and make a plan of revitalization actions in order to establish a spatial planning which meets the needs and expectations of the inhabitants. Additionally, complex and advanced architectural concept was prepared to show potential ways of developing the area, with reference to needs of local inhabitants and future tourists as well.
The IBHRP will be a valuable asset in further works on preservation and maintenance of the cultural heritage in city of Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki.
