Accelerating Creative Industries in Cultural Spaces

Transnational event

December 18th, 2019, Rusijanov trg 7, Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Technology park Ljubljana is organising a transnational workshop exploring innovative trends for the valorisation of cultural assets. The workshop is organised within the Interreg SACHE (Smart Accelerators of Cultural Heritage Entrepreneurship) project to offer new perspective the integration of cultural heritage in the local economy by strengthening the awareness of its value for businesses in general and the creative economy in particular.

In fact, the SACHE project aims at fostering creative entrepreneurship within and around cultural heritage by accelerating the dialogue between Creative Enterprises and Cultural Institutions. The collaboration between the two actors is potentially very fruitful but largely unexplored at present. SACHE therefore advances the idea that there are significant opportunities for mutual learning and partnership between the two domains. “Culture” (preserved as Heritage) can inspire “Creativity” (expressed as Business). And vice-versa: the spirit of Creative business can stimulate a positive transformation of Cultural Heritage.

During this seminar speakers will discuss the hypothesis and the aims of the project and provide comments based on good practices from Slovenian and other central European regions.
