Stakeholder Workshop Slovenia

During the Stakeholder workshop many issues were recognized within different fields of action (i.a. in connection with the Pilot Action Kamniška Bistrica river basin): Nature conservation, Agronomy, Forestry, Water management, Flood management and Emergency management. The main issue exposed during the workshop is the need for more comprehensive development strategy for Slovenia, in particular linking the sectors. The climate is changing and systematization of the cross-sectoral work process and planning is necessary to find common solutions for the adaptation of water management to climate change. A tool designed to support climate change adaptation, according to Slovenian stakeholders, should have a cross-sectoral overview of the future projections of goals and measures. The TEACHER-CE toolbox should illustrate climate change scenarios and potentially vulnerable areas (floods, landslides, etc.). For navigation purposes it would be very good to have included a catalogue of national databases that are currently not interconnected (water, environment, nature, land registers, records, etc.).
