The objective of the participants - the main European ports and interports such as La Spezia, Koper, Rostock, Gdynia, Verona and Budapest - is to make intermodal transport more efficient and competitive through the adoption of innovative technologies.

After analyzing the current situation, the project partners will develop medium and long-term development plans that will be implemented using new technologies and data exchange between the different systems. Once applied, the innovations will make the freight transport by train more efficient, facilitating the modal shift from road to rail, with consequent positive effects in terms of emissions of polluting gases and CO2.
