ECRR Policy Conference

First major public event for ECRR in Erfurt, Germany

Almost midway through the project's implementation, the first major public event took place in Erfurt on the 28th of November 2017.

By then the main steps setting the base for the European Cultural Route of Reformation were taken. Organized in the context of the 500th Reformation Jubilee,  the policy conference aimed at positioning ECRR and the future route as a sustainable and efficient platform to continuously promote Reformation and its related cultural heritage. The event sought to encourage networking amongst relevant stakeholders from all participating regions and to foster a sense of unity in a diverse atmosphere. Furthermore, the importance and value of Reformation-themed cultural heritage and European Cultural Routes for regional development, tourism, and education were highlighted and the interlinkages, thereof, were made apparent to all participants. The highlight of the event was the ceremonial signing of the Declaration of Intent showing the support of 21 institutions, who pledged their willingness to participate in and promote the future route.
