Austrian ReUse Conference:  January 31st 2019  Meerscheinschlössl, Mozartgasse 3, 8010 Graz

Members from SURFACE partner organisations played a prominent role at the 6th Austrian Reuse Conference on 31st of January 2019 in Graz.

The conference was organised by ARGE Waste Prevention and its manager Berthold Schleich, who is involved as reuse expert in the SURFACE project. Representatives of the SURFACE members ZAK, INSIEME and RREUSE and the associated member City of Graz were invited as speakers for the conference, ATM and CPU were part of the audience.

Ms Claudia Mayer from ZAK presented the Smart Reuse Park concept, Ms Marina Fornasier talked about confidential open procedures according to the Public Procurement Directive 2014/24/UE.
Ms Nina Monjean from RREUSE gave an overview of fiscal and economic incentives in Europe to support reuse and repair services.
Ms Alexandra Loidl from the environmental department of the City of Graz presented local measures to support reuse and repair, especially the new municipal initiative "Graz repariert".

Households in the City Graz get paid 50 % of the costs of a repair service for electric and electronic appliances with a maximum amount of € 100 per year. 

During the conference the "Reuse Innovation Challenge" was launched, which aims to set up a Smart Reuse Park in the City of Graz. Please find all the presentations and photos of the event here....
