Youth Meeting in Sierpc, Poland


Youth Meeting organized within a You In Herit project (Interreg Central Europe) was held on 24th May 2017 at the Museum of the Mazovian Countryside in Sierpc on the initiative of The Mazovian Office for Regional Planning, representing the Self-Government of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. The meeting was attended by 18 students of the Agricultural Training Center in Studzieniec and was led by Piotr Brzeski – Director of Mazovian Office for Regional Planning in Warsaw.

Young people had the opportunity to learn first impressions of stakeholder after Thematic meeting in Venice and to be familiar with history of polish brewing and the brewing traditions of Kormoran Brewery.

Speakers tried to encourage young people to cultivate their traditions by engaging in traditional disappearing professions. There was emphasized the role of young people in project #implementation as a main project stakeholders and they tried to encouraged them to cooperate in the project. Very interesting part of the meeting was presentation about possibilities of supporting the professional development of young people up to the age of 30, among which the most popular and effective ones are: the reimbursement of part of the salary costs and the traineeship with the employer.
