Austrian round table session “energy efficient public buildings and alternative financing”

Austrian round table session discussed key aspect of energy efficient public buildings, climate change adaptive buildings and innovative financing schemes.

On 10th November 2020, the Austrian Round table session took place as major online event. The event was hosted jointly by Energy Agency of Styria and FEEDSCHOOLS (project partner Grazer Energieagentur).

Nearly 50 participants from public authorities, energy agencies, architects, civil engineers and other important stakeholders joined the event and discussed their opinions. During the Austrian round table session, we shared experiences from the eCentral and FEEDSCHOOLS project, hosted lectures from experts related to climate change adaptive buildings and innovative financing schemes, and discussed challenges and barriers for energy efficient buildings.

After the lectures, four parallel sessions were organized online (each between 5-12 participants) in order to discuss innovative financing schemes, political barriers for a wider uptake of energy efficiency measures, dissemination of nZEB standard and climate change adaptive buildings. Each session used a virtual “whiteboard”, which allowed participants to work together on the prepared questions. Afterwards the results were presented and will serve as valuable base for project deliverables such as joint strategy on uptaking innovative financing schemes.

All results and presentations are available at webpage of Energy Agency of Styria (German only).
The event was held in German.
