Local dissemination event in Körmend
12th April 2019.
On 12th April 2019 the Western Hungarian and Eastern Austrian passenger train operator GYSEV/Raaberbahn and KTI Institute for Transport Sciences jointly held a local dissemination event aimed at the general public on the Hungarian side of the Austrian-Hungarian border. During the event, the numerous local municipalities, regional government offices and other interested citizens including regional think-thanks could get to know the main aims and the ongoing pilot actions of CONNECT2CE project.
The 3 Pilot Actions (3, 8, 9) developing along the border were in the focus of the dialogue held after the presentations of the project partners. The pilot actions dealing with new cross-border bus services with harmonised connections and the developing multilingual information system on the connecting GYSEV regional trains were welcome by all participants. Several previously unknown issues and potential data sources were discovered thanks to the cooperation between the participants in order to achieve a sustainable modal shift towards more attractive public transport modes.
