KETGATE study visit at Bay Zoltán Nonprofit Ltd. in Miskolc and Budapest, Hungary
From 12th to 13th June 2018 a study visit was carried out at Bay Zoltán Nonprofit Ltd. for Applied Research. The partners of KETGATE project and the representatives of Czech, Polish and Croatian research institutes visited the laboratories located in Miskolc and Budapest.
The purpose of the study visit was to present the technology services of Bay Zoltán Research Institute and to explore bilateral cooperation opportunities so that research institutes can develop joint service packages that they can offer to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The director of BAY-ENG Engineering Division, Dr. Gyöngyvér B. Lenkeyné presented the Institute's activities and technological services. After that the participants had the opportunity to visit Mechanical Testing Laboratory, Virtual Reality Laboratory and Nanomaterials Laboratory and they could get acquainted with the Institute's equipment and its work there.
During the afternoon session the working mode of the Smart KET Access Points was discussed with Maria Sole D’ Orazio’s moderation (Veneto Innovazione, Italy). In the proactive atmosphere the participants worked out the way how the services of the applied research institutes will be offered towards the SMEs and they agreed the range of Smart KET Access Points’ support activities.
In search of cooperation opportunities the guest research institutes (Palacky Univerzity Olomouc, Wroclaw University of Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Osijek) also presented their technology profile.
On the second day, the participants visited the Industrial Laser Technology and Nanochemistry Laboratory of Bay Zoltán Research Institute in Budapest.
