On July 26-27th in Bologna took place the kick off meeting where partners met for the first time to launch the first activities and to understand who does what when. SULPITER partners will start with the analysis of desk work and experts survey related to freight transport in functional urban areas (FUAs). This will lead to the understanding of trends and scenarios, with the aim of training the local, regional and national policy makers to use the transnational tool developed in the frame of the project. Additionally partners discussed about how to identify the right stakeholders and involve them in the in setting up freight quality partnership in each functional urban area. As the very last activity partners will develop Sustainable Urban Logistics Plans and roll out the results for low-carbon freight in Central Europe Functional Urban Areas. Further training will be provided to non-partner authorities from other FUAs in Central Europe.
