QM Quality Management system tools and documents translated within the ENTRAIN project based on tools and documents of QM Holzheizwerke® (QM for biomass DH plants) and the Austrian “klimaaktiv QM Heizwerke” programme:

Q-Guidelines (Version 11)	Translation of the document “Q-Leitfaden” from the German series of publications QM Holzheizwerke® (Quality Management (QM) for Biomass District Heating (DH) Plants). Q-Guidelines is a central document of the QM system containing the definition of the QM process and the current quality requirements that must be met according to QM for Biomass DH Plants.
Planning Handbook (3rd completely revised edition)	Translation of the document “Planungshandbuch” from the German series of publications QM Holzheizwerke® (QM for Biomass DH Plants). This planning handbook describes the project process and shows how the quality objectives for a heat generation plant and heating network can be achieved by means of professional planning and execution. *Standard hydraulic schemes Part 1*	Translation of the document “Standardschaltungen Teil I” from the German series of publications QM Holzheizwerke® (QM for Biomass DH Plants). This document contains detailed descriptions of the function, hydraulic solution, control strategy, instrumentation list, etc. for common systems of heat production and distribution for biomass DH systems.
*Standard hydraulic schemes Part 2 (short version)*	Translation of the introduction to the document “Standardschaltungen Teil II” from the German series of publications QM Holzheizwerke® and short versions (fact sheets) of the standard hydraulic schemes – Part II for WE11 to WE16. Similar hydraulic schemes but with a different control strategy for the control of the boiler(s) are described in comparison to Standard hydraulic schemes Part 1.
*Economic Profitability Calculation*	The Economic Profitability Calculation tool is a translation of the “Wirtschaflichkeitsrechnung” tool from QM Heizwerke (in Austria) into English within the ENTRAIN project. The tool can be used to carry out a dynamic economic evaluation for biomass district heating system projects.
*Heat losses DHN heat transfer coefficient*	With this tool (a translation of the tool “Netzverlustberechnung” from QM Heizwerke) an assessment of heat losses of the district heating network can be done. The calculation is based on the input of total pipe lengths and heat transfer coefficients ([W/m/K]) per pipe diameter and other relevant data such as network temperatures.
*Heat losses DHN length specific*	With this tool an assessment of heat losses of the district heating network can be done. The calculation is based on the input of total pipe lengths and length specific pipe heat losses ([W/m]) per pipe diameter and other relevant data such as network temperatures.
*Info sheet Measurement equipment*	This document was translated based on the German document “Infoblatt Messtechnische Heizwerksausrüstung V3.pdf” from QM Heizwerke within the ENTRAIN project. It contains information on the minimum requirements for measurement equipment and data recording of biomass district heating systems that should be met according to QM Heizwerke.
*Questionnaire Customer Data*	This questionnaire is a translation of the document “Fragebogen Anschlußdaten eines Wärmeabnehmers” from QM Heizwerke. It includes most of the necessary information of potential heat consumers for the planning of a district heating system in a structured way.
