OUTPUTS

AIR TRITIA aims to increase air quality management capacities of public sector bodies through the development of a unified spatial information database, introducing new air pollution management and prediction tool and processing air quality strategies for individual urban functional areas and a common strategy for the TRITIA region.

3 TYPES OF OUTPUTS

We are creating analysis, tools and strategies to help manage the air pollution in the TRITIA Region.

Analysis and databases
Analysis and databases are the basis for creating unified spatial information database, which is input for development of a common air quality management strategy for the TRITIA region and for strategies of involved cities.

Analyses and databases include:

  • Current state review (studies, projects, legislation)
  • Current state studies (socioeconomics, epidemiology)
  • Eight spatial databases gathering information among three nations
  • Processing of spatial data (GIS)
  • Mathematic models
  • Traffic measurements, isotopes measurements and moss analysis.

Tools
One of the objectives of the AIR TRITIA project is to create tools for efficient and transparent air quality management in accordance with evidence-based decision support. These are the Air quality management system and Prediction Warning System for decision makers and citizens of TRITIA region. The tools will help public authorities in the field of air quality management. The tools are currently in the testing phase.

Strategies
One common strategy for TRITIA region and five strategies for functional urban areas Opole, Rybnik, Opava, Ostrava and Žilina.
