COVID-19 IMPACTS REFLECTED IN RUNNING INTERREG PROJECT

As agreed during the online Steering Committee meeting on 21st April 2020, INTERREG project CHAIN REACTIONS that aims on “Driving smart industrial growth through value chain innovation”, will adjust its activities in order to reflect the current COVID-19 situation and potential impacts on value chains in the Central Europe region.

The project deals with five key sectors based on their embedding in regional smart specialization strategies. These include advanced manufacturing, ICT and electronics, energy and environment, health and bioeconomy. Pandemics COVID-19 will have strong effect on all mentioned sectors and so international partnership agreed to focus on such effects and impacts on value chains during implementation of their pilot activities. Partners responsible for individual sectors will assess potential impact of new situation on value chains and propose solutions through various business models.
