Live event: "Capacity building of local and regional governments in promotion of social entrepreneurship"
The Croatian tandem partners; Brodoto and The town of Duga Resa, are organising an all day live event, the seminar "Capacity building of local and regional governments in promotion of social entrepreneurship" which will be held at the Polytechnic University of Karlovac on September 29th.
The seminar is organised with the aim of better informing, encouraging and providing support to social entrepreneurs and all those who want to become one, through the presentation of development strategies aimed specifically at this branch of entrepreneurship, as well as support mechanisms available in Croatia at local and regional level.
Representatives of towns will present good practices, the Ministry of Labor, Pension System, Family and Social Policy (Directorate for management of EU operational programs) will present financial management and implementation of financial instruments for social entrepreneurs in rural areas. Other speakers, representatives of tech hubs in rural areas, member of the academic community, will try to answer the questions of ow to better inform, encourage and support local government to better support and promote SEs, how to better recognise the value SEs bring to local communities and how to use available government mechanisms at local/regional level.
