FROM "EASY" TO "DIFFICULT" CELIAC DISEASE CASES
A multidisciplinary meeting was organized in Treviso.
A multidisciplinary meeting was organized in Treviso with the participation of pediatricians,
general practitioners, gastroenterologists and clinical pathologists on 16th of November 2018 in
Treviso.
The meeting was organized as a training event and to present updated results obtained during
the Focus in CD project such as the new diagnostic procedure development and results from
questionnaire submitted during the project. Meeting was attended by 46 people.
The program consisted of presentation of clinical pathologist showed the diagnostic procedure
based on different immunological tests and proposal for a clear algorithm. The doctors
presented clinical cases of so called classical and difficult to find (diagnose) celiac disease
cases.
We also presented the Focus IN CD questionnaires results about CE doctors and patients
knowledge on celiac disease.
