TESTING SCHOOL CHILDREN ON CELIAC DISEASE
The Celiac Society from Rijeka accompanied by the two other Croatian partners, University hospital center Rijeka and Primorsko – goranska županija, who are indispensable partners in communication and dissemination activities, has started intensive pilot project activities „Testing school children on Celiac Disease“.
Communication with primary schools will last for the entire fifth period. Presentations and lectures about celiac disease and about the importance of early diagnosing are being held. Parents are introduced to the method of rapid celiac disease testing and informed about the procedure that will follow if their child will be positively tested.
Partners are sending a clear and strong message to health care programs true these events.
These days the first on site testing will be organized, the first results are expected with impatience.
