OUR FIFTH MEETING IN ZAGREB

The fifth RESTAURA transnational meeting with internal transnational training and study visit was organized on February 15-16, 2018 at the premises of the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) in Zagreb.

The meeting aimed at elaborating on project current deliverables and upcoming project activities. The first day was mid-term review meeting with participation of the Joint Secretariat from Vienna which included presentation of the progress of each thematic WP (the highlights, outputs achieved, expected results, problems encountered and solutions found) and communication WP (how outputs are being disseminated) as well as future planned activities. Partners reported on the work progress, discussed the achieved results, discussed on tools and methodologies and agreed on next actions.

Second day of the meeting was dedicated to Internal transnational training conducted by Mr Domagoj Dodig from the Agency for Investments and Competitiveness (AIC) with active participation of all project partners. Within the transnational training, partners had an opportunity to learn more about different PPP models, project cycle (project preparation, technical, legal and financial analysis, examples of good practices) and different ways of combining PPP and EU funds. The meeting also included press conference where partners had the chance to present project activities to the wider audience as well as to disseminate project outcomes such as RESTAURA Handbook on PPP in built heritage revitalisation projects, Guidebook for local authorities and RESTAURA Helpdesk.

The meeting was concluded with study tour entitled “Innovative ways of heritage revitalisation through tourism (PPP models of cooperation)” which included the visit to the Museum of Broken Relationships – the first private museum in Zagreb explaining its concept and story behind.
