Worskshop with Ceramic Modeller Hermann Seiser Manufaktur

The students of our partner institute New Design University participated in 2 workshop days with ceramic modeller Hermann Seiser Manufaktur. Herman Seiser has already worked with numerous artists. He produced porcelain honey jars for the Darbo campaign "Signed by Bees" - the campaign won a Silver Lion with it in Cannes in 2017. Seiser learned his craft from scratch and worked for "Augarten Porzellan" for seven years.
Moreover, the students also attended Ceramic studio www.mindfuldesignandcraft.com to create their objects with the help of a ceramic 3D-printer. Mindful Design and Craft is a studio found by Petra Wieser, an Austrian designer and occupational therapist. She founded the studio after studying "Design, Crafts & Material Culture" (with a focus on woodworking) at the New Design University in St. Pölten.
In September they will have a final workshop where they will cast, glaze and fire their objects for the final presentation in the former tableware factory in Wilhelmsburg.
