“Glatt – Verkehrt, Kraut einschneiden und Besen binden”
Event for everybody who is interested in cultural heritage!
Only as long as there are people who pass on their knowledge and skills to the next generation, intangible cultural heritage is alive.

Oral traditions, performing arts, social rituals and festivals, knowledge of nature or craftmanship – all of these characterize social life and do an important contribution to sustainable development.
With the event “Glatt – Verkehrt, Kraut einschneiden und Besen binden” we want to show the variety of our cultural heritage and pass on knowledge about our craft traditions to children, adults and interested persons. The event will take place on the 18th of October 2019 in the Vulkanland-school FS Schloss Stein.

"Cultural heritage reflects great diversity and creates togetherness"
For the rural area it is very important to remember the old knowledge and skills, otherwise the USP of the region will be gone sometime. We will translate old knowledge into modernity and show and create with cultural heritage identity, togetherness and strengthens relationship with people, nature and work. Professionals, teachers together with their students show the variety of skills and abilities such as weaving, knitting, embroidery, bobbin lace, wreath bandage, bread baking, blue printing, model printing, herb cutting, felting, nesting box construction, basket sewing, broom pads and much more.
