1st pilot action started

14th June 2018.

On 14th June, the first pilot action that tests the extension of the MICOTRA rail service to Trieste was presented to the public and stakeholders on the premises of CEI in Trieste. This extension of the existing Udine-Villach service, with two trains per day in each direction, will be active on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, both Austrian and Italian. On weekdays the Udine-Villach service will continue as it is. The overall cross-border connection service is jointly managed by FUC -  Ferrovie Udine-Cividale, one of Connect2CE partners, and Österreichische Bundesbahnen (on the Austrian side). This train has 2 passengers carriages and one carriage for storing up to more than 100 bikes. The information about ticket costs and timetables are available here.
