Internal WP3 Training in Jaworzno

On the 5th March 2019, representatives of the Municipality of Jaworzno (PP2) and the Central Mining Institute in Katowice (LP) have invited Ms Sandra Vasin - WP3 leader, to support them in final stages of groundwater management plan development for Jaworzno FUA. 

The need for an additional training on Management Plan development appeared due to local needs and challenges at the pilot site in Jaworzno. 

The meeting was divided into two parts. During the first one, Ms Sandra Vasin (State Capital of Stuttgart) presented her evaluation of all available documents on Management Plan of Jaworzno FUA and discussed strategic objectives and formal requirements. 

While, during the second part, Ms Malgorzata Markowska (LP) presented the current version of the Management Plan for Jaworzno FUA with a special focus on defining the development goals and corresponding measures. Furthermore, questions regarding clearness and completeness raised by Ms Sandra Vasin were discussed. Additionally, the proposed action plan – focused on the timeframe and responsibilities of specific institutions for particular activities needed to be realized was proposed. 

The training enabled a special focus on the practical examples in the pilot site of Jaworzno. Thanks to the experience of Ms Sandra Vasin, her valuable tips, instructions and objective remarks on the finalization and future implementation of the management plan in the urban functional area of Jaworzno, the representatives of the Municipality of Jaworzno (PP2) and the Central Mining Institute in Katowice will successfully finalize the Management Plan and improvethe efficiency of working process on Jaworzno FUA.
