Remtech Conference – AMIIGA Session

On the 19th of September 2018 AMIIGA Project during the Remtech Conference, organized a special training session concerning the Water Plan Management of groundwater at Functional Urban Area scale. During the training, both  technical and administrative aspects about water magement of GW were discussed to provide the intermediate results of AMIIGA Project and to present the forecast final deliverables. More than 50 water managers from different italian regions joined the event. Among the speakers we had a delegate from the National Environmental Institute (ISPRA) and from Lombardy Region.

RemTech Expo is the only permanent international event specialized on remediation, environmental and natural risks, safety, maintenance, redevelopment, land regeneration, climate change and circular chemistry.

There were dicussed many issues during the AMIIGA session which took place in the afternoon. The National Environmental Institute talked  about  diffuse pollution in the national contest and it was illustred the regional strategy for diffuse contamination by Lombardy Region and the guidelines for diffuse contamination management plan. The debate focused on innovative tools for monitoring contaminated aquifers and regards Milan Pilot Area it was explained a distinction between site-specific and diffuse pollution; while Jaworzno (Poland) illustred a case study on Bioreactive barrier and pollution spread pattern in groundwater; at the end Parma showed the state of the art of the monitoring the Natural Attenuation of chlorinated hydrocarbons. Remtech 2018 had 6.000 visitors, 270 exibitors, 400 experts and 100 congress.
