Transport and Flow modelling for Jaworzno
On February 13th 2018 AMIIGA met in Milan for the first training on flow and transport modelling implementation of the groundwater in the Jaworzno (Poland) Functional Urban Area.
Central Mining Institute presented the scope of the model implementation and the hydrogeology structure of the area.Experts from Politecnico di Milano and Municipality of Parma worked with the Polish partners to define the model domain and the suitable spatial discretization. A previous model implemented for a portion of the area of interest was imported in the software Groundwater Vistas6 in order to be analysed and to select valuable information already contained in that model. Finally, a program for next steps necessary for the Jaworzno model construction was outlined: work will go on!
