Update from Slovenia

A punctual informative action towards all the stakeholders: this is the main objective of the events and communication activities carried out by the Geological Survey of Slovenia and Ljubljana Waterworks and Sewerage in the last months.

Local, regional and national media were the main recipients of communications on the AMIIGA project. News and press releases emphasized the importance of correct and efficient management of groundwater and the risks to the water ecosystem from the excessive use of products such as shampoos and drugs. Hence the need to reduce micro-pollutants in wastewater.
The events (meetings and presentations) were instead an opportunity to involve local associations, institutions and professional groups (such as geologists) that are particularly active in the field of environmental protection and water cycle management; Geological Survey of Slovenia and Ljubljana Waterworks and Sewerage have also organized a new meeting of the Regional Implementation Group in the framework of discussion on draft of the Management Plan.
