Deutsche Bahn is planning a spare part warehouse for additively manufactured parts
Deutsche Bahn would like to continue investing in 3D printing in the future and sensitize as well as motivate its employees within the framework of the technology. Using a software called 3yourmind employee ideas are to be collected, analyzed and recommendations generated.
As early as 2018, Deutsche Bahn was already using around 15,000 spare parts and other products that were additive manufactured. In long term, the range is to be expanded and a digital spare parts warehouse set up, among other things for the maintenance of older trains.
