Cross-border training seminar in Liberec (Czech Republic)
A more extensive and powerful use of GEOSPATIAL DATA and ICT tools FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY can support the creation of SMART and LOW CARBON CITIES.
The European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation NOVUM organised the Polish-Czech cross-border training seminar for potential users of the project`s web platform OnePlace. The event took place in Liberec on 18 February 2020.
The training seminar focused on the demonstration of the OnePlace platform together with its possibilities, examples of good practices and methodologies. Each of the 4 interlinked modules of the platform was discussed in detail with the seminar participants. Nevertheless, the main part of the seminar was dedicated to the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and their integration with 3D city models (3DEMS tool) as a powerful tool for planning, visualization, problem solving and decision-making in the field of energy efficiency.
The use of the 3DEMS tool for visualization and queries of energy data within a 3D city model of Lubawka (PL) and Žacléř (CZ) was presented.
