Mentoring and Support Schemes

Mentoring schemes for helping businesses to get back on track during and after coronavirus occurred around Europe.
A platform for those who want to offer help, local farmers offering fresh food delivery to their consumers, a free tool for managing NGOs ... We are giving you an overview of some of the most interesting examples!

Example from Slovenia:

Slovenia Food Platform “Doprinesi.si” https://doprinesi.si/

At a time when there is an emergency and socializing is limited due to increased public health concerns, the web portal connects local farmers, consumers, and volunteers.
Local farmers offer fresh, good, home-made products to local consumers delivered home, volunteers can register on the portal to help local farmers (due to lack of foreign workforce, usually helping local producers in this time of year) and to help people that can not do daily chores on their own (for example go to the market or pharmacy shop).

Registration and use are free of charge, the platform is operated by four digital companies: Formitas Group, Kreatorij, Fabulatorij and TechSumo.

Example from Austria

Austrian social software provider Swat.io offered its Social Media

Management tool for free for NGOs to support them keeping the digital community together and managing all requests fluently in times of the Coronavirus. To apply, organizations had to register on a special landing page called “Social Media Krisenpaket” and were then guided and supported on their first steps with additional free consulting.

Example from Italy

Covid-19 emergency, online platform for companies who want to offer help

During the emergency, the INVITALIA National Agency for Inward Investment and Economic Development, owned by the Italian Ministry of Economy, has created a new platform for those who want to offer help. Companies can register and describe their availability to provide products and/or services useful to deal with the Covid-19 emergency, based on the required needs.

After registering, it’s possible to access the portal where the procurement needs of medical and health materials and/or other services are published. The platform enables you to check needs, present your product/service offers based on needs, and to finalize purchase orders.

Example from Poland

The act on the so-called The Anti-Crisis Shield also includes provisions regarding support for the third sector. They included the possibility of modifying the accounting rules for subsidies in relation to the coronavirus epidemic. Organizations which due to coronavirus total revenues from statutory activity decreased by min. 30% - calculated by comparing 60 consecutive days falling after 1 January 2020 to the analogous 60 days in the previous year - can apply for co-financing for employee salaries.

In addition, NGOs / social enterprises can benefit from all provisions of the Anti-Crisis Shield, not only those dedicated to the third sector.
