As the second largest city of Poland, Krakow is currently populated by one million permanent inhabitants. The old city centre was among the first sites to be included on the World Heritage List of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Krakow is a prominent centre of culture and science and an increasingly popular tourist destination. Many of Krakow’s citizens want to shape the city into a precursor of global trends and innovations while respecting its 1000-year tradition and cultural heritage. Thus, the city administration aims to progress their plans for Urban Vehicle Access Regulations and Mobility as a Service-solutions within the Dynaxibility4CE project.

Moreover Krakow inconveniently is situated in a valley what increase air pollution, which is one of the most important issues for its inhabitants. That is why solutions for sustainable transport and mobility are so close to them.
