ECRR Kick-off meeting in Eisleben

5th July 2016

The kick-off Meeting for the ECRR Project took place on the 5th of July in Eisleben (Germany). This event signalized the beginning of the three-year Project funded by Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE and running from July 2016 till June 2019.

Being a main Luther Memorial and UNESCO-acknowledged city, Eisleben was the perfect place to launch the Project. Which is one of a kind in its scope and goals as it is the first regional development initiative in Central Europe aiming at capitalizing upon the Reformation heritage. In the past this heritage has been widely neglected as a regional resource. The project seeks to consolidate the reformation legacy as part of the joint history and culture of Central Europe in a common agenda and identity.

The twelve consortium partners (including regional and rural development agencies, public administrations, association of municipalities, research bodies, tourism-related and clerical entities), from seven different countries (Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Slovenia) attended the event. In Addition to discussing about the implementation of the Project (administrative and content-related issues), the Project Partners enjoyed a guided visit in the Martin Luther’s death house museum.

All the Project Partners are looking forward to the execution of ECRR!
