3rd workshop on the ENES-CE project held in Prelog as well 2nd meeting of the focus group

On Thursday July 15, 2021, in the premises of the Entrepreneurship Center Prelog, 3rd workshop and 2nd local focus group meeting of the ENES-CE project were held. The purpose of the workshop held was presenting the newly established local energy association of citizens called Green Energy Club Prelog.
The event was jointly organized by Croatian partners in the ENES-CE project, the Town of Prelog and Međimurska energetska agencija d.o.o. in cooperation with the Green Energy Cooperative (ZEZ).
Maja Bratko and Niki Radiković from MENEA presented more information about the ENES-CE project and the pilot investment of the solar power plant, that will be implemented in the building of the Kindergarten "Fijolica", to the interested citizens of the Town of Prelog. Marsel Radiković, President of the Green Energy Club Prelog Association introduced the association and its goals, activities and membership to the participants.
In the second part of the workshop, Goran Čačić and Maja Katić from ZEZ presented the new legislative frameworks for the establishment of energy communities and renewable energy communities. These two communities will be able to function in Croatia after the adoption of the new Law on the Electricity Market and the Law on Renewable Energy Sources and High-Efficiency Cogeneration. After presenting the legal framework, in the part of the workshop reserved for group work, the participants independently identified the most important strengths and challenges in their local community and began to develop potential ideas for the first projects of the association.
