First joint procurement of PVs in Croatia

26.10.2020

Green Energy Cooperative (Zelena energetska zadruga ZEZ) is one of the lead organisation for promotion of use of renewable energy sources in Croatia. They have launched a project nasuncanojstrani.hr and a call for citizens to participate at first join procurement of small photovoltaics. This is a new model in Croatia, although it is well known and present in other EU countries.

ZEZ has joined verified Croatian equipment producers and local installers and designers who in cooperation with ZEZ offer citizens expert assistance on every step needed to realize small PV.

In this model, ZEZ will gather interested citizens and issue joint public procurement procedure for goods and service. In proportion with the interest, it is expected that this kind of procedure will trigger higher discounts thus making the installing of PVs cheaper for the citizens. The amount of the discount will depend on the number of interested people – more interest, greater opportunity for the lower price.

First step for the citizens is to leave their contact data on the website nasuncanojstrani.hr. After this ZEZ team will contact them, check building conditions and direct them to access joint procurement and expert assistance while installing small PV.

This project has been initiated through the support of EIT Climate KIC, biggest European community for knowledge and innovation in climate funded by European institute of innovation and technology – EIT, and Raiffeisen bank in Croatia.
