Green Energy Club Prelog established

The value of green energy for the Town of Prelog and Međimurje was recognized by a group of citizens of different professions and ages, and the same thinking - that the Town of Prelog should increase the use of green, renewable energy, reduce CO2 emissions and thus help the environment and its citizens.
On July 7, 2021, in the premises of the City Hall of the Town of Prelog, the Founding Assembly of the new citizens' association called the Green Energy Club Prelog was held. The goal of the newly established association is to promote and develop an energy-independent community, renewable energy sources, promote sustainable development and encourage social innovation and entrepreneurship. In achieving its goal, the association will strive to preserve the environment, impact the sustainable development and strive to have influence on public policies and services at the local, national, regional and international levels. The Green Energy Cooperative (ZEZ) also helped in founding of the Prelog association.
Marsel Radiković was elected as president of the Green Energy Club Prelog, and Jakov Halić as vice president. In addition to the above, Ivan Šimunković, Luka Mesarić and Petra Bobić were elected to the Management Board. Damijan Bermanec was elected liquidator. The association Green Energy Club Prelog will actively support the implementation of the ENES-CE project and the future pilot project implementation of the construction of a solar power plant at the Kindergarten "Fijolica" in Prelog.
All interested citizens from the area of the Town of Prelog, Međimurje County, but also the whole of Croatia, can join the Green Energy Club Prelog and actively participate in creating better living conditions and in the environmental protection.
