GOOD PRACTICES OF THE TRENČÍN REGION
FUJARA TROMBITA (TRADITIONAL SHEPHERD‘S PIPE)

THE PÚCHOV VALLEY

Fujara trombita (traditional shepherd´s pipe) is a specific wind musical instrument, deeply rooted with shepherds’ traditions of less settled mountain regions of Slovakia. Thanks to its exceptional sound, this pipe was used as an archaic communication facility, even on longer distances in the past. Due to its length (from 2 up to 5 meters) it is an impressive objects of the shepherds’ culture.
