Faces of the project

In case you have not had the chance to get familiar with the latest low carbon mobility project financially supported by Interreg Central Europe, we are delighted to introduce you to the LAirA (Landside Airport Accessibility) project. LAirA addresses the specific and significant challenge of the multimodal, smart and low carbon mobility integration of airports and airport landside access in the mobility systems of Central Europe.

LAirAproject clearly handles multiple complex and sophisticated topics. However, all revolutionary scientific projects have a human factor. The valuable contribution of LAirA to the policy debates for improving surface access to airports in Europe would not be possible without the fruitful and intense commitment of the ever-engaged and motivated team of professionals. Together, they join forces to come up with the best possible solutions by sharing knowledge and expertise. Long-term visions that include the changing role of airports within the mobility system and their relationship with the surrounding residents of airport regions. The collective intelligence of the experts working on the project will be combined, creating a true surface access community.

Below, you can meet the so-called "faces of the LAirA project". The representatives, coming from local governments and organisations based in Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Italy and Poland, are one by one expertsthat strive to achieve the ambitious goals of the project. For all of them, investigating solutions to achieve a more sustainable airport mobility in Europe is a common priority.
