Focus IN CD national campaign in Rijeka
In the City hall of Rijeka, on May 15, the final presentation of Focus IN CD project was held.
Croatian partners: Celiac disease Society from Rijeka, Primorje-Gorski Kotar Caunty and
University Hospital of Rijeka, presented the results of the three-year project and the results of
the pilot projects.
This great final event was attended by doctors and nurses, nutritionists, workers from public
health care institutions, school principals and educators, teachers, members of celiac
disease association and general public. Project promotional material was distributed, a
gluten free cookbook for the patients was presented, facilitating the "first steps" after the
diagnosis was made.
After the official part in the City Hall, the gathering continued with the glamorous banquet,
where project partners exchanged impressions with guests and some future co-operation
possibilities were discussed.
As a part of National Campaign, Croatian partners visited different regions: Dalmatia, the City
of Zagreb and Istria in order to disseminate information about project results what will
contribute to better health care service for the celiac disease patients.
