"GLUTEN FREE PARTY!"
One of the goals of Focus in CD project was certainly to raise awareness of celiac disease and gluten-free diet as its only cure. For this purpose, the Society of CD from Rijeka has prepared a play "Gluten free party!" which is primarily intended for pupils of elementary schools but also for the general public.
The first four performances were played at the city theater "Filodrammatica". Later the performances were held at two different locations with the aim to attract as many children and adults from different areas of the city and its surroundings."Hrvatska čitaonica Trsat" (eastern part of the city) and "Kulturni društveni dom Hangar Matulji" (surrounding area-west) hosted about 500 children from primary schools through four performances and two performanses were open for the public of that areas.
The play reached the attention of the audience and got a lot of positive reviews. School principals and teachers complimented the way of treating the health issue and its presentation to the children population through speech, dance and song.
Positive reactions of children and teachers Will be an motivation to continue this mode of work and cooperation with the theater in terms of further actions to raise awareness about celiac disease .
