PONTIS FOUNDATION HACKED SOCIAL INNOVATIONS!

Hackaton is usually an event dedicated to solving IT challenges. Pontis Foundation used this format for launching the “Be Social, Be Maker” international competition of the Social(i)Makers project and created InkluHack to find social innovations for the biggest inclusion challenges in Kosice region, east Slovakia.

People from 12 different areas (third sector organisations, companies, public sector and more) developed ideas for social enterprises and social innovations targeting youth of the region. After six hours of brainstorming, five solutions got presented. A mentoring program for young children from marginalised Roma communities won both, the prize of the committee and also the audience award.
