5th partners meeting after the end of 4th progress period in HealingPlaces project

On 12th of April HealingPlaces project partners met on the 5th partners meeting to discuss and reflect on the project activities which are bringing HealingPlaces to an end. The meeting was hosted by partners from Novo mesto (Razvojni center Novo mesto) and organised online due to the epidemiological situation. The partners meeting was one of three sessions which are to be organised by Razvojni center Novo mesto as part of the 5th partners meeting. The next two (Steering Committee session and sitevisit in region Jugovzhodna Slovenija) will be organised later on, waiting for an opportunity to host a live meeting on the 16th and 17th of June 2021.

The partners meeting was attended by represenatitives of all partners, in total number of 32 representatives. In 4 hours and 30 minutes they discussed management issues, thematic work packages including the construction of the tool for vulnerability assessment and communication issues.

Currently the most challenging part for project partners is to complete one of the core project Deliverables, that is the vulnerability assessment tool which will be tested in all partner regions and used to prepare the Transnational Strategy for management of healing resources. Partners held another meeting separatly, as well, in order to produce an interoperable tool which will be accessible for all regions in Central Europe. IRT colleagues who are responsible for the tool development are also facing epidemiological challenges what slowed down the development of the tool.

Other two thematic work packages are progressing as planned and have been already introduced and discussed among many stakeholders in partner regions:

  • 11th November 2020 in Križevci, CRO
  • 2nd and 3rd February 2021 in Jugovzhodna Slovenija, SI
  • 9th March 2021 in Eastern Hungary, HU
  • 12th March 2021 in the Jeseniky region, CZ
  • 31st March 2021 in Lower Silesia, PL

Health-tourism related activities will especially be important for the recovery of its indutry in the given epidemiological situation in Europe and wider. Upcoming activities of the HealingPlaces project will play an important role in this sense by intertwining developmend and recovery challenges which are present at this moment by further working on the selected topics of sustainable development, inter-sectoral dialogue and preparation of Action Plans in pilot areas.
