PPI2Innovate Project synergies: PROMINENT MED
Thanks to our project partners from Croatia, PPI2Innovate partnership has the opportunity to get familiar with interesting ongoing PROMINENT MED project in the City of Koprivnica, Croatia and to discover potential mutual cooperation.
The City of Koprivnica with its partner Regional Energy Agency North and supporters is undertaking a pilot project for an extensive transformation of its kindergarten building with funding from Interreg MED programme and City of Koprivnica.
Innovative solutions are needed to enable the transformation of kindergarten to enhance the learning and play environment and maximize energy efficiency in a cost-effective way based on TCO. This should improve conditions for modern childcare, extend the lifetime of assets and minimize their life-cycle costs.
The City wants to meet transformation goals by designing a solution for external and internal reconstruction of the kindergarten, significant improvement of the energy efficiency and improvement of indoor space functionality. The solution will be implemented on the Kindergarten Loptica and the City anticipates that minimum of innovation will be required in design, materials, functionality, implementation and perhaps, for follow-on projects, financing.
This pilot project will serve as a proof of concept. It will be used as a model for the cost-effective transformation of similar buildings with a possibility to become a special type of renovation. It is therefore in the interest of the supply side for the solution to be replicable and scalable.
