Second Citizen Bus in Möser

After Saxony-Anhalt’s first Citizen Bus has started in Osterburg in February, Möser as second candidate benefits from RUMOBIL pilot projects.

“This new bus service is exemplary” said Thomas Webel, Minister for Regional Development and Transport of Saxony-Anhalt, when he officially handed over the new bus to the municipality of Möser. He emphasizes the aim of the new service to make public transport and the living quality in smaller villages more attractive.

Thanks to the commitment of the community and its residents the first ride of the mini bus with 8 passenger seats took place on 3rd May 2018. The bus is driven by volunteers, the administration of Möser organizes the operation of the bus. It connects smaller settlements to both the city of Möser and its train station. The bus runs on fixed routes and has fixed running times. In order to shorten the way to bus stops for passengers, more than 30 new bus stops were installed.

The Citizen Bus project is supported by the Ministry of Regional Development and Transport Saxony-Anhalt and the Nahverkehrsservice Sachsen-Anhalt (NASA) GmbH.
