Future 4.0 conference in Velenje, Slovenia

Future 4.0, a two-day conference was held in Velenje, Slovenia, on November 19 and 20, aimed at bringing together corporations and startups in the field of Industry 4.0. It was organized by SAŠA INCUBATOR with the support of various organizations, including members of the TECES and SRIP PSiDL partnership.

The first day of the event was aimed at presenting the views and experiences of a variety of lecturers involved in supporting innovation, entrepreneurship, mentoring and the introduction of the Industry 4.0 concept. The second day was focused on B2B search for synergies between companies - corporations and startups who want to succeed with their ideas and solutions in the global market, while hoping for the help of various corporate investors.

Supporting entrepreneurship and connecting startups with already established corporations and other companies is also one of the areas of operation of TECES and SRIP Smart Buildings and Home including Wood Chain. It will gain in importance as trends require an ever-increasing integration of solutions and products, multidisciplinarity and, above all, faster response of companies to customer and user expectations. Startups can do a great job in this and with different approaches, they can help meet the challenges of larger corporations. Intensifying startup activity is also part of the current strategy of many of TECES members.

As part of the event, TECES, SMART_watch project Partner, introduced the project to interested participants. They focused on presenting the aims of the project and the Competence map, which is one of the key outcomes of this project. In this tool, we see great potential in finding relevant project/business partners whose competencies are verified, which is also a prerequisite for enrollment in this map.
