Spotlight on: The first networking results

The fragmented landscapes of healthcare systems are a common issue in Central Europe. Therefore, networking is a core element of digitalLIFE4CE project. In the last 15 months, the digitialLIFE4CE partnership has been building “Innovation Network Alliances” and “Healthcare Excellence Spots” to foster transnational networks in Central Europe. Two project partners now are going to intensify their work in a new project: Technology Park Ljubljana, University of Applied Sciences Burgenland and five more partners from Slovenia and Austria initiated a new Interreg SI-AT project. The project COOP4HEALTHCARE aims to improve the provision of services in the health sector through consistent cross-border cooperation in Slovenia and Austria and is funded with 958.443,26 EUR by EFRE funds. One aim of the project is to focus on creating a concept and lab for AAL technologies.

At the Kick-Off-Event on 18. July 2018 in Pinkafeld of COOP4HEALTHCARE project, Lead Partner University of Applied Sciences Burgenland, took the opportunity to present the digitalLIFE4CE project. Scientific Project Assistant Alexandra Weghofer, introduced the audience to the first outcomes “Learning Hub” and “Visualization Tool”. Furthermore she shared knowledge and experiences with the seven partners from Austria and Slovenia. The two Lead Partners Carinthia University of Applied Sciences and University of Applied Sciences Burgenland, agreed to build up a strong cooperation. The aim is to use proven working tools and take advantages of synergies in the fields of AAL (active assistant living) and digital health promotion for elderly.

By this cooperation, digitalLIFE4CE is getting one-step closer to its goal to build solid bridges between health systems in Central Europe to overcome the current challenges.
