Study visit Lombardy
exploring good practices
The Lombardy is among the most developed regions in Europe. With Milan it disposes one of the major urban nodes along the Rhine-Alpine corridor and the Mediterranean corridor. 16 participants from the project's partner regions studied good practice examples of network integration.
On 28 September 2017 the public transport association of the city of Bergamo was visited first. Afterwards a representative of the infrastructure department of Bergamo airport presented the planning of connecting Bergamo main station an Bergamo airport by a train track. Back in Milan, the group was lucky to gain an insight to the railway traffic control room of Milan. Visits in Saronno and Malpensa on 29 September 2017 completed the trip.
