Grand opening in Turin
However, the CWC pilot investment in Turin is still under construction, the city partners Turin and Torino City Lab opened the pilot site for the public for the Open House Torino weekend on 18-19th September.
Open House Torino fest is designed to allow people to visit houses, buildings and places of interest that are not usually accessible, and thus discover the wealth of architecture and the urban landscape. For one weekend a year, it gives the opportunity to visit historical, modern or contemporary buildings, private flats, offices, green or social spaces, excellences in the city, recovered structures.
The designer of the CWC construction Alessandra Aires and 6 volunteers accompanied the 300 registered citizens during the two afternoons, organising small groups to visit the green roof under construction.
During the visit citizens could directly ask information about the pilot and the project.
Local media were also invited to the event to spread the message of City Water Circles.
