URBAN INNO presented at international Bled eConference 2018

On June 19th 2018, first outcomes of Urban Inno were presented at the international conference Bled eConference, which takes place annually. Bled eConference has been shaping electronic interactions since 1988 and attracts speakers and delegates from business, government, information technology providers and universities and is the major venue for researchers working in all aspects of digital transformation.

This year’s conference topic was ‘Digital Transformation – Meeting the Challenges’ and aimed at establishing a creative environment for researchers, government, industry/business representatives and technology providers. Ms. Tamara Högler, Head of Innovations and International Affairs at CyberForum e.V., was invited to have a presentation about innovation processes at the WATIFY Event, which took place in the framework of the Bled eConference. WATIFY is an awareness-raising campaign that stimulates the modernization of European industry and focuses on the technological transformation of traditional SMEs. The presentation had a focus on the usefulness and applicability of participatory methods as tools for supporting innovation processes in Digital Innovation Hubs.

Ms. Högler presented her lessons learned regarding applying participatory methods in innovation processes within CyberForum’s URBAN INNO pilot project; these findings were compared with similar approaches in other projects so that the audience was able to get a broad overview on the advantages and disadvantages of the applied approaches.

Approximately 25 attendees from research, public authorities and industry listened to the explanations and participated in following discussion. The URBAN INNO Toolbox of smart participatory methods and tools was distributed among the participants.
